Phnom Penh Administration Calls on Donors to Support Frontline Defense Forces

Phnom Penh, March 11, 2024: In a bid to bolster support for the frontline defense forces and the families of border guards, the Phnom Penh Capital Administration has issued an appeal urging businessmen, artisans, investors, and philanthropists to contribute generously.

As the Khmer New Year approaches, the Board of Governors of Phnom Penh will lead a delegation to visit the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces stationed at various border points. This initiative aims to demonstrate solidarity with troops stationed at critical locations such as the Preah Vihear Temple and the O'Alay area in Siem Pang District, Stung Treng Province.

The appeal, issued today by the Phnom Penh Capital Administration, emphasizes the importance of support from all sectors of society. "In order for this visit to be successful and to uplift the morale of our frontline fighters, we call upon businessmen, investors, and philanthropists, as well as district governors and heads of departments, to donate generously in the form of food, budgetary assistance, or other essential supplies," the statement reads.

The administration is counting on the spirit of generosity and the culture of sharing deeply ingrained in the Cambodian people to contribute to the defense efforts along the country's frontline.

This call to action underscores the importance of community support in safeguarding the nation's territorial integrity and ensuring the well-being of those who serve on the front lines.
